An adventure challenge starting at Nairn beach, giving participants the weekend to cross scotland. A journey covering 100 miles and passing some of the most iconic landmarks and beautiful scenery in Scotland.
Nairnshire Challenge
Date: 12 June 2011
The Nairnshire Challenge is a 31 mile duathlon (13 miles on foot, 18 miles on bike) covering the length of Nairnshire from the highest, most southern point to the most northern point by the sea. The journey begins on tracks across the wilderness of Dava Moor on Cawdor Estate. At Drynachan Lodge participants change over to their bikes and follow a pictureque route on public roads through wooded Nairnshire to the sea shore in Nairn.

Farmers Show

The show is the highlight of the Nairnshire farming society calendar, and is a popular attraction for residents of Nairn, surounding areas and tourists alike. It typically features a range of trade stands, livestock competitions, a craft fair, a food fair and numerous other attractions, The show day is completed by a marquee dance in the evening.
